Polish Dumplings (kopytka) Recipe

Dish for four people; it takes 30 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients:
-500g of potatoes,
-250 g of flour,
-1 egg,
-salt and pepper,
-olive oil,
-butter,
-1 large onion
Preparation:
Boil the potatoes in a big pan, then wait some time. When the potatoes are cold, peel and then mash them. Add the flour, some salt, some pepper and the egg. Stir all the ingredients together. Next, squeeze the dough and roll it into a long slim roll, squash these rolls and cut them into small pieces. Finally, boil some fresh water and drop the kopytka into the pan. Boil them for 3 or 4 minutes. Take them out with a spoon with holes (or a strainer). Serve with fried onion and mushrooms if you like.
